The longer you wait, the larger the population gets. Termites: always call a professional. There's no effective DIY termite treatment. Store-bought products don't reach the colony. Active rodent infestation: if you're catching mice repeatedly and more keep showing up, you need exclusion work and a professional assessment. Trapping alone won't solve it. Stinging insect colonies in a wall or underground: these require professional treatment — the colony is larger than you can see, and disturbing it without proper equipment and protection is genuinely dangerous.
